Why We Built This Site
Hawaii gives the public broad access to court records through eCourt Kōkua and the Hawaiʻi Court Records Rules. The hard part is figuring out which Honolulu County office actually holds the file you want. Felony, civil, probate, and guardianship files sit with the First Circuit Court at Kaʻahumanu Hale. Misdemeanor, traffic, and small claims files sit with the Honolulu District Court at Kauikeaouli Hale. Divorce, custody, juvenile, and adoption cases sit with the First Circuit Family Court at the Kapolei Judiciary Complex. Add HPD, DCR, the DOH, HCJDC, and federal court systems, and the picture gets crowded fast. This site pulls together contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices.
What You Will Find Here
- Records pages by type: court records, criminal records, inmate records, warrant records, marriage and divorce, probate, and more.
- Office contacts: direct lines for the Honolulu County Clerk of Court branches, the Circuit Court, the Family Court, and OCCC.
- Search walkthroughs: step-by-step guides for eCourt Kōkua, SAVIN/VINELink, and HPD arrest logs.
- Public records help: how to file a UIPA public records request and what to expect for response time.
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the Hawaii State Judiciary, the City and County of Honolulu, the Honolulu Police Department, or any other government office. There are real limits to what we can help with on this page:
- We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf.
- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record.
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you.
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now.
Only the issuing court, state agency, or county office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results, and we are not affiliated with eCourt Kōkua, SAVIN/VINELink, HCJDC eCrim, or any Hawaii state or county office.
Keeping Information Current
Honolulu County offices change. Hours change. Phone numbers get reassigned. Statewide reforms like the 2024 DCR redesignation, the July 1, 2025 HCJDC expungement update, and the February 1, 2026 DOH divorce record change all shift where Honolulu County records live. This site updates as we hear about changes, but gaps happen. Before you drive to Kaʻahumanu Hale, Kauikeaouli Hale, or the Kapolei Judiciary Complex, call ahead first.
